It looked really fun. It looked very cool. And I thought it was going to turn out great!
I put a lot of hard work into my so-called jello mold and on the last day it was time to add the last flavor (raspberry), I couldn’t wait for it to become firm so that I could present this tower to my kids.
Except, while I did my best at warming the bowl, sliding the butter knife down around the sides of the mold and flipping my unique tower of jello over gingerly….(and possibly banging on the bottom several times) it didn’t quite turn out the way I expected it would…
I got this:
Maybe this is how you felt after the election results were revealed.
You did your best research,
you did your best educating others,
you worked hard to push people to vote
and you went out and stood in line before (or after) work to do the same…
…but, it just didn’t turn out the way you’d hoped…
What you have is political jello.
You might need to take the advice I gave to myself after my jello-fiasco;
It’s over, you did your best and there’s nothing you can do now but move ahead.
Although my kids and I were able to add a little whip cream to the bowl to make us feel better…
I still don’t think you should stress too much over this.
The sun will still rise, the children are safe, and it’s not the President who determines our happiness,
It’s our choice…
Oh, and by the way, if you have the secret to making this mold come out right, please email or comment and let me know…
I will be trying this again….
